We serve a very, very, very BIG God

"For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him."
Psalm 103:11

For those of you who do not know what this amazing picture is of, it is our galaxy. The Milky Way galaxy is just one tiny galaxy in our universe. A Universe which holds millions upon millions of other galaxies. That little yellow arrow right there on your screen, yeah thats our Sun. Can you actually see the sun in this picture because I can't. Actually here is a better question.... Can you spot the Earth in this picture? No? Thats not too surprising since our special planet can fit into the sun about 960,000 times! Im not too sure about you, but this image makes me feel really small!

Louie Giglio, a Pastor from Passion City Church in Atlanta, toured around the country speaking about How Great our God Is and showing pictures such as this. These images absolutely blew my mind! We love to talk about how amazing our God is and how big He is. But do we truly understand what we are saying? His glory, His majesty, His splendor is out of this Universe! We cannot even begin to comprehend how big and glorious he really is! We serve a very, very, very BIG God.

Now look at the screen again, and visualize yourself light years upon light years away (Very far, but God is even farther) untill you can barely see the Milky Way Galaxy. How little, how insignificant are we compared to the universe? But God, our Father, our Creator sent His only son Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for us. So that we may have a relationship with Him. God, who can hold the ENITRE universe in His hand, came down to this very small, sinful planet to save US. Our Father loves us so much that He looked far off into the Universe and saw us in need of Him. He could have looked over us, but he didnt. He took it upon himself to come here and die for our sins. For that reason alone, I am very grateful of the one who saved my soul.We serve a very powerful and loving God, who is gracious enough to let us call Him Father. We serve a very mighty and powerful God.
